Anything Goes / Re: Horse riding again
« on: January 03, 2018, 05:40:01 pm »
This was the first time he's bucked me off (been riding him about 4 months now), never even had a buck before that. Sometimes he'll take off after a jump if it was 'scary' (barrels, flowers..) which I could deal with, hopefully the bucking isn't a regular thing because then we would definitely have an issue. I was basically unable to move for 2 days, not cool!

Yay! I love these posts from everyone!

I am now 1/2 leasing a lovely 17hh warmblood named Billy. Billy is a trained eventer, around 10 years old, doesn't have alot of show miles but knows what he's doing. He's got a bit of spunk to him, bucked me off really good last ride (I held on for about 8 bucks before he turned and down I went! Winded and sore for days.. getting old!). I'm now jumping 2'6" courses with him, with the occasional 3'. We've been working on our dressage as well, haven't taken him cross country yet. I get out riding at least 8 times a month right now and loving it

Happy New Year Everyone!!

I went to bed at 9.. haha. Unfortunately i'm out of town for work, working 12 hour days and had to start at 5am the next day. Definitely wasn't staying up till midnight!

I'm really excited for 2018. My plans include: Finally moving into our brand new condo (it's a pre-build and was delayed 6 months), get a dog, get married in August, go on an awesome honeymoon somewhere. Going to be a good year!

General/Questions / Re: Discussion on Stud Requirements
« on: December 31, 2017, 05:27:20 pm »
I've been playing for 14 years (holy cow! I thought it was like... 8..) and have been able to qualify 8 stallions. My first stallion, WCh. I'm Your Angel retired to stud in 2011, 4 years after I started the game.

I don't want to change the rules; It takes a long time to establish yourself to the point where you can race a colt to stud qualification. Adding stallions that are not qualified would de-value the whole breeding pool. There are alot of great stallions out there, I don't see the need for more that aren't qualified.
