GCh. Bracton (8yo, Rumor Has It) 10th in the Joe Aitcheson (Gr. 1). Officially retired.

Sorry to see him go. He got to 6 SW, etc as a 3YO but I just couldn't get him to get the last SW he needed to become Stud-Qualified. Finally decided to sell him in the hopes that he might have an uptake in form in new surroundings. Unfortunately, that didn't happen and, as he is now 8YO and probably well past his prime, I can understand why he would be retired.

We have another horse in a similar position, NCh. Gaudy Night, who is a year younger but also only needs one more SW. Unlike Bracton, Gaudy Night has shown a little recent form this year, including winning the G1 Grand National for the second time, so we are still hopeful for him.

20(4)-3(1)-5(1)-4-0 $221,550

The highlight of the day was Fuzzy Square (2yo, Foolhardy) in the Skyline Stakes (Gr. 3). He maintained his perfect record, 3 for 3, with 2 SW. At this moment, he is the only 2YO Breeders' Cup contender in our Stable.

Good day, only 2 Off the Board.

Wins:
Ch. Nikita (4yo, Tottenham Hotspur) in an Allowance
Ch. Silk Parachute (4yo, Major's Flight) in an Allowance
Ch. Charlotte's Web (4yo, Strider) in the Coolmore Classic (Gr. 1)

31(10)-4(1)-2(1)-2(1)-2(1) $345,400

Not great with less than 33% OTB. Did have 4 winners, including 1SW, so shouldn't complain too much. Will only list the winners and seconds as the rest aren't really worth the ink.

BTW - Congratulations to Cat on Ch. Palermo's win today. This 2YO son of our deceased stallion FFCh. Foolhardy is now 7 for 7, including 6 SW, 4 of which were G1W.

Wins:
Ch. Mantle of Honor (4yo, Mantle of Power) in an Allowance
Major Sunset (3yo, Major's Flight) in a NW3 Allowance
Miraculous Flight (3yo, Major's Flight) in a NW1 Allowance
Ch. Classic Rock (4yo, Witness) in the Canterbury Stakes (Gr. 2)

Places:
Ch. Bonnie Tottenham (4yo, Tottenham Hotspur) in an Allowance

Annual Select Auction / Re: 2022 Annual Select Auction - How'd You Do?
« on: September 04, 2018, 06:36:58 pm »
Won our 5th horse from this Auction, Navy Cross, a 4yo by NCh. In The Navy (S) out of GCh. Splendid Silence (G). He is by one of our resident stallions and his Dam is Gold-Rated. He currently has a 33% win percentage. He cost $1,000.

Now to wait for the "wait-until-Shanthi-increases-the-limits" prospects!!! LOL!

Got 4 of our top 5 selections, but lost the 5th one to Windward Farm.

Top pick was FFCh. I'm No Fool, 11yo Stallion by FFCh. Foolhardy (P) out of Highland Gold (G). He will hopefully fill the shoes left by his illustrious Sire, who died last year. He himself is Silver-Rated. Got him for $2,250,500 which was quite a bit less than I thought he'd go for.

Next pick was Ch. I Can Only Imagine (G), 9yo Broodmare by GCh. Worth My While (G) out of Beyond Imagination (S). Her sire is a Chef-de-Race and is the Sire of one of our resident Stallions NCh. Worthy Victor. Her Dam is a Reine-de-Course and is the Dam of one of our Platinum-Rated broodmares, Ch. Minaret. I was originally drawn to this pick because of her name, having just seen the movie by that name this summer (a great movie and a bit of a tear-jerker, although they are happy tears). She cost $200,000. She will probably go to FFCh. I'm No Fool next year.

Our third pick was Life Imitates Art, a 5yo by FFCh. I'm No Fool (S) out of WCh. Easy Decision (G). Consistent horse, although he hasn't raced since 2020 (this inactivity was not through injury). He cost $34,000.

Our fourth pick was an Unnamed yearling by WCh. Sponsored out of Key To Glory (S). She has since been named Key Sponsor. She cost $875,500.

We currently have one more active bid in and have a couple of "wait-until-Shanthi-increases-the-limits" prospects.

Wins:
GCh. Gett Bold (5yo, Tottenham Hotspur) in the Arlington Handicap (Gr. 3) - His 4th SW. He has the required G1W & 2 G1P, also 10 SP, so just needs 3 more SW of any grade to become Stud-Qualified.

There is only one thing that can be said about my horses performances today and it would be censored.

Ch. Gifted Detail (2yo, Unabridged) in the Blue Diamond Stakes (Gr. 1). He's undefeated this year and this is his 2nd G1 win!!! My first MSW :D

Congratulations Willagrey. If this is how you are when you are only "figuring this game out", once you have it all "figured out" the rest of us may as well pack up our Stables and go home.

A good day. We had runners in 4 races only and one of our horses won each of the races, including our horses finishing 1-2-3 in the G2 San Diego Handicap and 1-2 in both the G1 Eddie Read Handicap & G3 Lexington Stakes.

12(12)-4(4)-3(3)-1(1)-0 $816,250

Wins:
Ch. Naval Dawn (3yo, In The Navy) in the Lexington Stakes (Gr. 3)
Ch. Blue Secret (5yo, Blue Smoke) in the Eddie Read Handicap (Gr. 1)
Ch. Secrets Squared (5yo, Secretsarebound) in the San Diego Handicap (Gr. 2)
Ch. Worthy Endeavor (3yo, Worthy Victor) in the Yorkshire Oaks (Gr. 1) - After a stellar 2YO campaign last year with 4 wins (2 SW) in 5 starts and a 2nd in the G1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Fillies, she hasn't trained on as well at 3, so it was great to see her back in the winners circle, especially in a G1 race.

Places:
Wait for Dixie (3yo, Worth The Wait) in the Lexington Stakes (Gr. 3)
GCh. Flying Topaz (6yo, Major's Flight) in the Eddie Read Handicap (Gr. 1)
