Horses For Sale / Semiahmoo Auction - April 1
« on: March 26, 2017, 05:49:38 PM »
Hey Everyone,

I'm hosting an Auction April 1st with a range of horses. Racehorses, broodmares and lots of yearlings. The yearlings all have reserves of 5-10k, no reserves on any other horses. Currently I have 66 listed, if there are any others you would like to see in auction let me know. I've got way too many horses and I can't keep up so time to find them some new homes :D

Foaling Barn / Semiahmoo 2021 Foals
« on: January 03, 2017, 12:19:17 AM »
This year is our biggest foaling season yet with 107 foals expected! Lots from my home stallys, many of which are unproven so far. Very excited!

So far we have welcomed 5 into the world; all happy and healthy.

Turkey Shuffle
[NCh. Sunday Paper x Gobbledegook (S)]
Unproven stally but i'm super excited to see his foals run. 1/2 to SP Gobble Gobble

Beaten Path
[GCh. Turnpike Wannabe x Night Catcher]
Out of two unprovens; who knows!

Blue Bayou
[NCh. Lake Highlands x Miss Joe]
Another unproven stally and dam. But you can't go wrong with highland lines!

Illusion
[WCh. I'm Your Angel (G) x GCh. Desert Mirage]
Very excited about this colt. Both parents were fantastic racers and Angel has produced some pretty phenomenal foals.

Cool Off
[Invasor (S) x Ch. Be Cool]
Many of Invasor's 2017 and 2018  foal crop are unraced so it'll be interesting to see how they develop over the years. Be Cool has one foal running who is a winner.

4 Colts
1 Filly
102 to go!

NCh. Sunday Paper
[Sunday Silence (S) x Ookashada (S)]
Dark Bay - 16.1hh
Race Record: 32(20) - 13(9) - 7(5) - 3(1) - 1(1)    $3,191,150    560 points
Breeding Record - None - First foals run 2021
Price: $10,000

Sunday Paper is the ONLY stallion out of Sunday Silence who actually raced and qualified as a stud. Deep Impact is the only other stallion by Sunday Silence. So if you need something new in your lineage, Sunday Paper is your boy.

Sunday Paper was a 'late' bloomer with his best season as a 4yo with 7 stakes wins. He could have had an amazing 3yo year as well, however, it took a little while to figure out that this boy is a steeplechase MONSTER. Long or short races, he was always in the money, though his favourite distances seemed to be 10-18 furlongs. If you have a steeple-chasing mare and want a steeple-chasing foal, this boy is for you.

He is standing at a very reasonable stud fee of $10,000 as he has yet to prove himself as a stud. His fees will go up in the next few seasons as his foals begin running

Grey - 16.0hh
Race Record: 35(23) - 11(8) - 1(1) - 8(6) - 3(3)    $1,244,300    474 points
Breeding Record - First foals race 2020
Price: $10,000

Ace Of Hearts had an interesting race career, he was a late bloomer. As a 2 and 3yo he was lightly raced and did OK, he started to show promise with some solid runs as a 4yo but he didn't really blossom until he was 5, winning 7 stakes starts as a 5yo. He was a dirt runner, so a dirt lovin mare would suit him well. His highlights include winning the Suburban Handicap and the Sunshine Millions Sprint.

He is the 2nd stud qualified colt by Highland Magic (Spock being the other). He is standing at a very reasonable stud fee of $10,000 as he has yet to prove himself as a stud. His first foals ran this year with a number of winners; I think most however will be later bloomers excelling at 4 and 5 years old

Lake Highlands had a phenomenal dirt race career as a 3yo and 4yo winning the Breeder's Cup Dirt Mile, Pimlico Special, Suburban Handicap, Breeder's Cup Sprint and the Forego Stakes. Run Jenny Run is a special stallion to me as he is by What's Your Point who was one of my stallys who had an amazing race and breeding record but his time as a stud was cut short as he retired fairly suddenly. Run Jenny Run is the first of his foal crop to stand at stud.

Run Jenny Run was a turf monster at all distances. Long short, didn't matter, this boy could do it. Some of his win highlights include: Breeder's Cup Turf Sprint, St James' Palace Stakes, Breeder's Cup Turf, King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes

I've got so many babies and 2yos on the way and ready to run, it's time to thin the herd again.

I've got a bunch of very lightly raced 3yos, some reliable 4-6yos and a selection of broodmares (all of which are in foal). I'll likely be adding some more over the next day.

Take a peek, all reserves are set at 5-10k, Auction begins on May 25th!

If there is a particular lineage you would like, let me know. I need to downsize so let me know what horses you would like to see!

Stallion Advertising / Semiahmoo Stallions - 2019
« on: December 26, 2014, 05:39:01 PM »
Eek! I'm late to the party! Typical.. Christmas swept me away but i'm back now and have some really lovely stallions up for stud. I haven't entered my mare's dates yet (haven't figured out who i'm breeding to who yet!) but i'll slowly work them in and i'll work around your breedings. All stallions will be nominated and foals are LFG

And just to put the bug in people's ears, NCh. Run Jenny Run,  son of now retired What's Your Point, may retire to stud in the New Year. I will likely run him in a few starts in January and see how he does. Please let me know if you are interested in him

NCh. Sunday Paper
http://www.finalfurlong.org/viewhorse.php?horse=9202
[Sunday Silence (S) x Ookashada (S)]
Dark Bay - 16.1hh
Race Record: 32(20) - 13(9) - 7(5) - 3(1) - 1(1)    $3,191,150    560 points
Breeding Record - None

GCh. Ace Of Hearts
http://www.finalfurlong.org/viewhorse.php?horse=4960
[ICh. Highland Magic (S) x Blazin' Hearts (G)]
Grey - 16.0hh
Race Record: 35(23) - 11(8) - 1(1) - 8(6) - 3(3)    $1,244,300    474 points
Breeding Record - None

His fees will go up in the next few seasons as his foals begin running

To Do List / Bugs on the Bug Page
« on: September 26, 2014, 05:04:53 PM »
Hey Shanti,

So I am having issues with some of my horse's workouts, they are set to work out but they haven't actually worked out in months (eg. NCh. Run Jenny Run) so i'm having to manually work out certain horses.. No idea why. Anyways, I was going to file this as a bug report, when I try to open the bug report link I just get a blank white page - it never loads. I use firefox, so thinking firefox may be having an issue I tried to open the bug page on internet explorer. Internet Explorer gives me an "HTTP 500 Internal Server Error".

It looks like the bug page has a bug  ::)
