All stallions are LFG, so if you'd like to breed back to a particular boy for free in future years, just message me and I'll make note of it.  These guys are all first-come, first-served.  They'll all be BC nominated.

NCh. Pay the Boatman
16.1 Bay Stallion
FFCh. Foolhardy (P) x Afterlife (G) x False Promises (G)
Family Notes: Sire needs no introduction.  Via dam, he is 1/2 to GCh. Nighthawk, Ch. Last Letter Home, and Ch. Eridanos.
Race Highlights: Finished top 4 in 21 stakes between ages 2 and 4.  G1 Wins (Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf, Man O'War Breeders Stakes, Victoria Derby), G2 Wins (Del Mar Derby, Knickerbocker Stakes, Lucky Cigar Stakes), G3 Wins (Labour Day Cup).
Turf Specialist

His first foals hit the track next year, so his fee will remain at $2500 for the season.

NCh. Celtic Star
16.h Light Bay Stallion
Created
Bronze-ranked (4.9)
Family Notes: None - makes a great outcross for anyone!
Race Highlights: Finished in the top 4 in 20 stakes, ages 3-5 (only raced once as a 2yo).  G1 Wins (Cigar Breeders' Stakes, Eclipse Stakes), G2 Wins (Theo Marks Stakes, Hill Stakes, Dixie Stakes, Turnbull Stakes), G3 Wins (Gravesend Stakes, Carylon Cup, Arlington Handicap).  Set 3 speed records (10, 10, 14f).
Turf Specialist
Notable Foals: NCh. Tir Na Nog (MSW, MSP, retiring to stud in 2022), Ch. Celtic Rose, Ch. Peacefully

Most of his foals are FF-owned and therefore lighlty raced or unraced.  His 2022 crop is the first that will be primarily player-owned, so his ability as a sire is largely unproven.  His fee will remain at $5,000.  Two injuries during career: swelling (LF, 2011), heat (RH, 2012).

NCh. Tir Na Nog
15.3h Dark Bay Stallion
NCh. Celtic Star (B) x Ch. Runaway Princess
Family Notes: See sire above.  He is dam's only foal to race so far.
Race Highlights: Finished top 4 in 17 stakes races, ages 2-5.  G1 Wins (Hong Kong Cup, Barretts Stakes), G2 Wins (Del Mar Derby), G3 Wins (Grafton Cup, October Cup).
Turf Specialist

He's been a steady presence over the years, winning stakes at all ages despite my poor management.  He did, however, have what I understand is a major injury - limping (LF, 2021).  (Until the recent discussion, I was thinking of limping as something potentially minor, like a stone bruise, but I'm glad I was set to rights!)  That being said, I'll understand if there is reduced interest in him or his sire, since injury potential is hereditary.  His fee will be $2500.  I plan to send him some sound mares to see if they might improve his chances.

Foaling Barn / Coleman Branch 2021 Foals
« on: January 01, 2017, 06:10:03 pm »
Well, unfortunately, we had one kiddo show up a day early.

Hunter's Moon
ICh. To Die For x GCh. Moon Eclipse (created)
8.3h Dark Bay

Both parents were champions on dirt, which the barn is short on to date.  Moon Eclipse's first foal will run this year.  This girl won't start until 2023.

Three babies arrived this morning:

Desert Rose
American Pharoah x Ch. Rose Will Do (NCh. Those Will Do)
8.2h Dark Grey

Little lady is the first foal on the ground for Pharoah and third for her mom.  Mom's first kid starts this year.

Hack Line
Curlin x Ch. Go For Broke (Ch. Moonopoly)
8.0h Grey Colt

Hopefully another dirt specialist.  Go For Broke's first foal to survive.  His name is from the curling terminology list.

Stealth Bomber
NCh. AndLikeThatHesGone x Silent Turn (Ch. Turn n'Burn)
8.0h Black Colt

This boy should be a jumper.  Mom's first foal (by WCh. Express Yourself) is SW/MSP, which hopefully is an indicator of what she can throw.

Foaling Barn / Coleman Branch 2020 Foals
« on: January 08, 2016, 02:16:44 am »
Seven babies for seven days so far, though a few came on the same day(s).

Brazen
Mucho Macho Man x Ch. Rose Will Do (NCh. Those Will Do)
9.3h Grey Colt

Second foal from MW/MP dam, oldest is a yearling.

Celestial
WCh. I'm Your Angel x GCh. Moon Eclipse
9.3h Dark Bay Filly

Second foal from MSW/MSP dam, oldest is a yearling.

Dress Blues
Blue Ensign x So She Sleeps (GCh. Must Be Magic)
8.0h Dark Grey Filly

Name refers to (some) US military dress uniforms.  She's the dam's first foal and bred for jumps, so she likely won't race until 3.

Etiquette
NCh. Away the Lads x Ch. Refinement (Rahy)
8.2h Bay Filly

Launch Sequence
NCh. Mr. Prospective x Ch. Tothemoonandback
9.1h Dark Bay Filly

From Mr. Prospective's last crop.  His early retirement last year came as kind of a shock, but we're looking forward to the rest of his babies running in a couple seasons.  Hopefully they'll help him hang on to that gold ranking.

Line in the Sand
ICh. Doodles x Silent Turn (Ch. Turn n'Burn)
9.2h Liver Chestnut Filly

Another one bred for SC.

Sassenach
Bernardini x Ch. Highland Maiden (ICh. Highland Pride)
9.0h Dark Grey Filly

I really couldn't resist her name.

Dark Bay
16.0h
Career: 63(35)  13(7)  5(1)  13(7)  5(4)    $1,696,000
Ranking: Silver (6.1)
Fee: $10,000
LFG
BC Nominated

Mr. Prospective was a fairly precocious racehorse, winning his first stakes on turf as a 2yo.  His 3yo season was his best, seeing him set two speed records on dirt.  He took 6 stakes events on dirt and turf, from 7 furlongs to 12 including the Queensland Derby and Dwyer Stakes, placing in eight others.  At age 4, he was switched to steeplechasing, where he won or placed regularly at Allowance level.  After that, he was very lightly raced until we purchased him as a 6yo.  His first foals started racing in 2017, and he boasts six stakes winners from his first two crops, including GCh. Early Spring (winner of this year's BC Distaff) and Ch.-ranked Unsung Hero, Copycat, Starfleet Command, and Smoke Alarm.  His win percentage for starters is 74%.

The other guy I'm hoping to stand is CB's first homebred to qualify for stud.  He's not the most impressive son of Foolhardy on offer, but he has a number of graded wins under his belt.

NCh. Pay the Boatman
FFCh. Foolhardy (P) x Afterlife (G) (False Promises)
Bay
16.1h
Career: 43(32) - 10(7)  - 7(6)  - 9(5) - 3(3)    $3,552,500
Grade I wins: Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf, Man O'War Breeders' Stakes, Victoria Derby
Grade II wins: Del Mar Derby, Knickerbocker Stakes, Lucky Cigar Stakes
Grade III wins: Labour Day Cup

His name is based on the Greek legend of having to pay the ferryman for passage to the underworld.  He started winning early on at age 2, and continued his success at age 3, going on to win, place, or show in 18 stakes races.  He started to trail off as a 4yo, likely due to my impatience with trying to get him to win, but he still finished on the board in a respectable 9 of 14 races.  His fee will likely be set at a bare minimum, so maybe he'll garner some interest from the bargain hunters out there!

Foaling Barn / Coleman Branch 2018 Foals
« on: January 09, 2014, 07:14:37 pm »
Little bit behind on this (been too busy looking through everyone else's posts!), but here are the kids so far:

Search Warrant
NCh. Mr. Prospective x Meter Maid (Citation)
8.1h Filly
Dark Bay w/some markings

Dad is producing relatively well so far.  Mom's first foal hits the track this season (whenever he grows a little more...still a shrimp at 14.1h).

Cabrette
NCh. French Ruby x Folk Music
8.3h Filly
Dapple grey w/some markings

French Ruby is out of a mare of mine who ended her career as a broodmare with a Gold rating, so I couldn't pass up a chance at sending a few mares his way.  Folk Music's first foal is 2 this year, but likely won't race until 2019 thanks to her SC-heavy bloodlines.  "Cabrette" is French for little goat, but it is also the name of a type of bagpipes used in the playing of French folk music.

Anchors Aweigh
Deep Impact x Ch. Trick Me Once (Foolhardy)
8.2h Grey Colt
Grey w/some markings

Very excited to see this boy run in two years.  His name is the fight song of the US Naval Academy.  Trick Me Once, leased from MCR, was stakes placed on both turf and dirt, and brings a little more Foolhardy into our barn following Pay the Boatman's success on the track.

Stallion Advertising / Coleman Branch Studs - 2018
« on: December 09, 2013, 07:28:55 pm »
It was so nice to be able to type studS versus stud this time!  That said, I'm offering the guys on a first come, first serve basis, but I will accept any and all reservations.  They will both be BC-nominated and I'm offering a LFG (just message me if this becomes necessary).

NCh. Mr. Prospective
Mr. Prospector (s) x Time Out (G)
Dark Bay
16.0h
Career: 63(35)  13(7)  5(1)  13(7)  5(4)    $1,696,000
Ranking: Silver (3.9)
Fee: $10,000

His first foals started racing this season with some success.  The 2yo crop has 50% winners, with one SW/MSP in Ch. Unsung Hero

ICh. Almost Precious
Almost Home (S) x Precious Belle (G)
Bay
16.2h
Career: 58(48)  13(10)  12(8)  8(7)  6(6)  $3,212,150
Ranking: none
Fee: $7500

We are proud to offer Almost Precious, an attractive son of Almost Home.  His lines offer a nice outcross for most any mare, while his success and longevity on the track strengthen the argument in his favor.  He experienced stakes success from age 3 to age 5, winning on dirt and turf from 6 furlongs to 12 furlongs.  While talented at shorter distances and on both surfaces, Almost Precious seemed to excel on longer distances over the turf.  He set 3 speed records over 10 or 12 furlongs, winning such stakes as the Coronation Cup, Goodwood Handicap, and the QEII Cup.  His first crop of foals are yearlings, and we're looking forward to seeing how they do!

Had two little ladies born healthy this morning to kick off foaling season.  Moms are doing well.  The two leased mares that were due on 12/31 still have their legs crossed!

On Solid Ground
NCh. Slip in the Mud x Leash
Dark Grey w/star, stripe, and 4 stockings
9.2h

She's the fourth foal from MW/MP dam, whose first foal debuts this year.

Let's Dance
GCh. Latino Mix x Folk Music
Dark Grey w/star and 2 socks
8.3h

First foal from MW/MP mare.  Should definitely be a jumper.

Sire is a Chef-de-Race and has produced 5 MSW of 83% winners.
Mr. Prospective is 1/2 to: GCh. North By Northwest, GCh. Rainbow Time, and 3 Ch.-ranked horses.
Mr. Prospector currently has only two other sons at stud, so Mr. Prospective would be a nice outcross for a great number of mares.

Stakes Record

Wins: Queensland Derby (G1), Del Mar Breeders' Cup Handicap (G2), Dwyer Stakes (G2), Kindergarden Stakes (G3), Historic Stakes (G3), and the Victoria Handicap (G3)
    Places: Australian Derby (G1)

Had 3 good seasons of racing (age 2-4).
His greatest earnings came at distances over 10f, though he performed most reliably at Classic lengths.  He won 3 stakes over Sprint courses.

He will be Breeders Cup-nominated.  His stud fee will be $7,500 LFG.  He'll be standing mostly first-come first-served, but if you'd like to make a reservation here, I'll make sure they're honored!  His first crop races in the new year!

I can admit that I'm an impatient person.  However, I have some racehorses that are driving me to distraction.  Therefore, I'm offering other players a chance at them.  I've put 7-8 up for sale already, nothing over $10,000.  I will also accept offers on any of my racehorses with a few exceptions (which are listed below):

We've had our first of the year, and she's a tiny little thing but she should mature to around 15.1h if her "birth" height was correct.

Fleet Kitten (name pending)
ICh. Alley Cat x Ch. Still Fleeting (NCh. Fleet Street)
7.2h Black Filly
Stripe, RH Ermine, LH Ermine

She's the first foal of MW/MP Still Fleeting.  We're hoping she'll mature into a decent multi-surface/multi-distance horse.
