Foaling Barn / ST's 2015 Foals

First baby born today! Yaaaaay!  ;D

NCh. Void (B) x Little Miss Chrome (created)
8.1hh black filly

I'm not sure about the name yet--I had originally wanted to name her something that started with V, but I couldn't find anything that clicked. Eridanus is a constellation (represented as a river).

Two babies due on the 30th. Soo far away.

1 filly | 0 colts | 11 unborn

General/Questions / Opinions?

I have a 3yo filly, Blackberry Rain, who has a severe case of place-itis.

She seems to do fairly well on the turf, but it has never been enough to get that elusive win. I can't decide if the switch to steeplechase will give her the push to win, or if I should just wait? I've fiddled with her equipment quite a bit.

What do you guys think? I am a little unsure. . .

First foal of the year born this morning!

Daisy Cutter
filly by Smart Strike and out of You Know Who (x Who Says)
dark bay, 9.1hh

A Daisy Cutter is a shell with an impact fuse to explode immediately on touching ground (first used World War I).

You Know Who is to be bred to Octagonal.

Next babies due April 10th.

Anything Goes / World Junior Hockey

I don't know if anyone here watches hockey or watched the game tonight. Canada vs. USA.

I'm completely and utterly heartbroken.

We lost!

I can't believe it, we scored 2 goals in the last 2 minutes, but they scored in overtime.

Five years in a row. And now we lost.

So sad.

Kind of embarrassing too, since we lost to the Americans (no offense intended, its just Canadian pride ;-) )

Next year boys, next year.

How'd You Do? / 4/18

Had one out  ;D.

Dynamic Seven won her second race as a two year old, with a SF of 141. She has won on the dirt and turf, I am hoping there will be great things to come from her

Anything Goes / Left-Handedness
« on: October 01, 2008, 04:34:07 am »
Ok, a friend of mine is taking a pyschology class in school and she said that she learned that 79/80 left handed people (not sure if that number is exactly right?) were actually a twin at one point (again, not sure if this means one got absorbed or what...?). I tried looking it up, but I didnt get a lot of helpful information, just a lot about "womb twin survivor" pyschological problems (which is why i guess she learned about this)... I am just curious because i am left handed, does anyone know if this is true? Or if they have any info about this?

oh, I searched and found that 90-93% of the adult population is right handed, and that males are more likely to be left handed. Hehe Just makes me feel special ;)

Questions / Budget Question

I seem to have been charged twice for the entry of St. Paddy's Man in race number #42 Arlington August 13. Could you please look into this for me when you have time? thanks

Anything Goes / New Horsey =)

Yay!! Got a new horse today, she's mine but isn't haha. She's actually my vets horse, but I get to ride her, show her and do whatever I like with her for as long as i wish. All I have to do is pay for board/farrier , etc and I get free vet work done. =D

Her name is Popsicle (I know funny, but I think its cute), I think I'll probably be calling her "Pops" for short. She is 4 years old, around 16hh (maybe a little smaller) and is a chestnut mare with a little triangle on her forehead! Haha. She is a thoroughbred (there might be some warmblood, I can't remember). I am going to take some pictures tomorrow and I will post them as soon as I get them... I am so excited, she is really green though, and hasn't been ridden in a year, but oh well, it shall be fun =)

General/Questions / Equipment Question
« on: July 25, 2008, 04:59:13 am »
My horse St. Paddy's Man has raced in a F8 every race, except for one. I like to think that he is fairly successful. I was thinking of changing his equipment to see if I could get more wins out of him, but I am worried this might mess him up. Under the same jockey, I have worked him with NW and F8 (not at the same time). With the NW it said he was easy to rate, so wouldn't that mean that he wouldn't need a F8? But afterwards, with the F8, it says he loves his equipment.

Any suggestions?

Questions / Running Line?

Sorry if this has been asked before, I couldn't find it in the FAQ or on this forum.

What exactly does the running line mean?

Questions / Race Search Troubles
« on: January 25, 2008, 03:25:01 am »
Um when I try to search for races at Santa Anita,  no races show up. I tried different settings, too, but it stayed the same. But when I searched under Aqueduct, there was no problem with searching.

Thanks, Tuano

General/Questions / Not able to scratch?
« on: December 18, 2007, 01:45:50 am »
I have a horse that I leased from someone. I have decided that I want to scratch Amex from his race but when I click on the Stable Race Entries link his name doesn't pop up. It says I have one horse entered in the next race meet, but no horse. The race is not until the 19th so I should be able ti scratch and get a refund. Is it because I am a leasing him?

Anything Goes / Hello All
« on: December 17, 2007, 12:33:29 am »
Although I have been here for a while, I have never properly introduced myself. I am Tuano (not my real name lol) and I am 16 yrs old. I have been riding for about 11 years and I have owned my first and current horse for about 5.

Shoot a Feu (Shooter) is a 1997 TB gelding. He did race when he was a young lad, but has since been an eventer and jumper with me. He is quite a cheeky boy and is such a sweety! We evented at Training Level for the first time this year and we hope to continue at that level next year! Here are some pics ( I can change them to links if that is prefered):
