ICh. Belanso (S) x Fire and Ice - ICh. Ring of Fire (B)
Bred by Generous Bloodstock

8.0h flea-bitten grey colt

Tiny colt that came super early! He wasn’t due until April 10th! Belanso is a gastric medicine, so I decided to go the opposite way and have fun with this guy’s name hahaha
5th foal for his MSP dam. All her foals are so far unraced with the oldest just turning 3. She visits Silver Wizard next!

15 Colts | 10 Fillies | 3 Stillborn | 37 due (Next due on 3/31)

I entered 2 because I'm a crazy person, and I'm maybe hoping the fields won't be too crowded.

Entered Sunad in the UAE Derby and Llwynog in the Golden Shaheen, he's been resting for 2 months and has won twice at 6.5f dirt, and twice at 7f dirt, so hopefully he has a chance!

Annual 2yo Auction / Re: 2022 2yo auction - How’d you do?
« on: March 17, 2018, 12:39:51 am »
Decided to stay away from the horses I knew would go for $$$, and picked up 2 from our own stallions. All were a steal for $1k.

Dear Thing
Dappled Grey Filly, Last for More x Clear as Crimson (S)
Not a terrible name considering! Half to SP Red Light. I don't have foals from Last for More, so

Troubled Wall
Bay Colt, Gunningdownromance (S) x Beach Bag (B)
Decided to try out some GDR offspring again after doing his write up. They usually don't like me but we'll see.

Flashy Tree
Bay Filly, Gunningdownromance (S) x Baby Got Back (B)
Mostly got this filly because of the mare's name ahaha I really wish we could change their names! So many ideas!!

Solid Thread
Flea-bitten Grey Filly, Belanso (S) x Superstitious (S)
Couldn't pass up a Belanso filly out of a silver ranked mare. Half to SW Tambourine Man and SP In A Tizzy

Overjoyed Arch
Black Filly, Silver Wizard (S) x Smoke n Shadows (S)
Another filly I had to get because I own the stud and I liked the mare. Has 3 SP siblings so hopefully a good runner.

REALLY great day! So excited :D Only had 1 off the board today!

6(1)-3-0-2(1)-0 $165,500

Stiletto (3yo, All Jazzed Up) in a NW2 Allowance. She was great as a 2yo, and I think a step down to allowance was just what she needed!
Generous Bloodstock lease Night of Flames (5yo, Nightfight) in a NW2 Allowance. Only shipped back to the track for a couple days, but I took a chance on entering him, looks like it paid off!
Gibraltar Dove (5yo, Rock of Gibraltar) in an Allowance. Was not expecting this win in such a huge field!

Irish Red (4yo, Carrowmore) in a NW2 Allowance
Hollywood Linen (3yo, Foolhardy) in the Florida Derby (Gr. 1). What a tough field! So proud of this boy, he's my first stakes winner and I'm really happy to see him get 3rd in this race. I was worried. He managed a stakes win (& first dirt win) on the dirt, so this was kind of a long shot. Heading home, and hoping to head to the Kentucky Derby!!

Also Rans:
Dragon Emperor (4yo, Eighteen Karat) 6th in an Allowance

Just a curiosity, is there anything else y'all would like to see us include? Something you don't like? Would love any feedback :D

As a new-ish player I'm really loving doing these because while I know what studs are out there, I wasn't around for their careers so lots of times i have no idea what many of them did or what they specialized in, so its really been helping me pick better crosses!

In Omnia Paratus (3yo, Chivalry) in a maiden. ONE DAY she will break her maiden lol

I had a lot of fun writing this because I didn't realize how impressive his record was! 1 win away from the Triple Crown and 2x Breeders' Cup Classic winner!!

Like Shelbie, I seem to have rotten luck with his offspring, they all tend to not like running for me at all. I did just purchase a yearling from Shelbie's auction so who knows maybe I'll have better luck after giving him a nice write-up LOL
