Jockeys Coment

Hello People

Have a question in regard to a coment i got when i exercised Desert Sea

The Jockey said Desert sea loves her euipment when i hadnt used any equipment on the horse

Does this mean that i should try on some equipment on the horse?

Desert sea hadwon 2 of her 3 starts without any equipment an plan to enter her in a NW3 race on the 13th. Now do i add on some equipmentwhen she races next? Blinkers and/or shadow roll would be the obvious

Am stumped by this  :-\ Help me out please

I say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.  She's winning, right?  Some horses don't like equipment, and will run worse with it.  Others need everything.

As for Jockey comments.  Take it with a grain of salt.  If the bugger doesn't know your horse well (which is pretty much the case at this point for everyone), then his comments may or may not be out in left field.

Which I take to mean she loves no equipment. So you have it right and her races confirm that ;)

I agree with everthing Cat said though. Those comments are a guide not commandments.

You don't have to listen to those comments, as the two above said. Have you been using that jockey for a while? If not, the jockey may not even know what they're talking about. You're the best judge, in my opinion. If your horse is doing well, the take Cat's advice; if it's not broke, don't fix it!

But that comment just means that, if the jockey is right, then your horse likes not having any equipment.  ;)

I'm not sure.  You only shipped her 100 miles and that was back 1/3.  This might be a bug.  PM Shanthi with her name, ID and tell her that she just dropped to F/F without being shipped anywhere.  But first, double check to see if you've been running any scheduled workouts.
