Part One - Team Placings

So, based on the straight number of points, the standings were:
1st: The Afterburners
2nd: The Sunnyside Ups
3rd: The Lady Marmalades
4th: Leaping Leprechauns
5th: The Blue Bloods
6th: Indigo Montoya
7th: Heliotropes

After taking participation into account, the final standings are:
1st: The Afterburners
2nd: The Sunnyside Ups
3rd: The Lady Marmalades
4th: Leaping Leprechauns
5th: Indigo Montoya
6th: The Blue Bloods
7th: Heliotropes

Note: Indigo Montoya was the only team to race their hoses injured.  Do not do this in the future, please!

Points were awarded for racing horses on a regular (i.e. monthly or more) schedule.  If a horse was injured and you did not race it, you got credit for that month anyway.  If you did not race a healthy horse, or raced an injured horse, you lost credit.  Captains also lost credit based on whether members voted for races that never got entered.

For captains, the breakdown (for good captainship) was:
1. Indigo Montoya
2. Sunnyside Ups
3. Blue Bloods
4. Lady Marmelades
5. Leaping Leprechauns
6. Heliotropes
7. Afterburners

Sadly, all of the team's captains got dinged for missing a month of racing for their horses.  That's pretty sad, given that we had 2 captains per team.

Congrats to all the teams, and props to The Afterburners for continuing to vote on races even after both your captains went AWOL!

OK, here it is...time for prizes! :)

Monetary Prizes
All monetary prizes were heavily influenced by how active you were for your team.  So you have no one but yourself to blame if you got way less than some of your teammates. ;)  (Note: I did base it on an expected participation rate of 75%, so if you were more active, you got extra money, if you were less active, you got less money)

Team Captains - Base of $200,000
Like last year, we had a couple of really pathetically (in)active captains.  Also like last year, we had some awesome ones, too. :)

Alyssa of Afterburners: $40,000
Brenda of Lady Marmelades: $140,000
Lilly of Lady Marmelades: $140,000
Dawn of Sunnyside Ups: $210,000
Diana of Sunnyside Ups: $210,000
Bam of Leaping Leprechauns: $110,000
Kiera of Leaping Leprechauns: $110,000
Annie of Blue Bloods: $130,000
Paul of Blue Bloods: $130,000
Nan of Indigo Montoya: $360,000
Monica of Indigo Montoya: $360,000

Team Members: Because member activity varied so wildly, I decided to be nice and guarantee everyone at least 50% of the prize money.  The other 50% was earned based on activity.
The Afterburners: Base $750,000
Alyssa (Ivy Creek): $720,000
Lisa (Good Compay): $690,000
Isami (Hokkaido): $855,000
Carole (Iron Spur): $855,000
Argus (Sheldrake): $880,000
Mallory (Stormy Island): $855,000

Sunnyside Ups: Base $500,000
Diana (Coleman Branch): $585,000
Dawn (Battle Hill Farm): $580,000
Maya (Pemberley Estates): $580,000
Teri (Starview Racing, Inc.): $580,000
KayLeigh Martenia (Candi Cane Racing): $550,000
Kaycie (Legacy International): $490,000

Lady Marmalades: Base $300,000
Remedy (Remedy Ranch): $350,000
Brenda Martenia (Triple M Racing ): $340,000
Lilly Swanger (Rainee Thoroughbreds): $340,000

Note that I had no way to judge which captain on a team was more awesome, so both captains got equal credit.  If I have time to do overhaul of CW stuff, I'll add in the ability to log which captain enters what race(s), so that if captain A is entering all the races, they get all the credit.

Definitely.  Three cheers for Nan and Monica!!  Our horses might've been pathetic, but our team captains sure weren't.  =D

Well, at least we weren't last, ha ha.

Any way, 90,000 is a HUGE amount for me. It will really replenish what I lost in taxes. Thank you!
