I wanted to congratulate you (a little late) on the healthy filly from Unabridged! I wish you the best of luck with her.

Thank you all.

We have many new tiny noses in the barn to report. Six in fact!

January 8th brought Two Steppin' Dixie, a big colt bu Dixie Time.

Looking Glass joined us on January 9th. He is the sun of Hidden Destiny.

The only filly to arrive recently, Omen of the Sun, joined us on January 14th and is a little on the wee side. She is sired by Stressed and out of Midnight Radiance (The Black).

Saint Augustine joined us on the 19th and he is by Stressed and out of a Seattle Slew daughter.

This gorgeous grey was last last to arrive in January, the 29th to be exact. He's been dubbed Oracle of Delphi. I quite like his name. He's sired by Black Light II and out of AP Heroine.

That brings us to this month's first arrival, Change Up, a big black colt by Changeling.

College makes FF hard, which is why I am so behind on every single thing. Including breeding. Meh.  ::)

Though we're behind, we'll start by taking a moment to celebrate the retirement of Spicy Tour after an unusually hard delivery sadly resulting in a stillborn colt. At 18, this was due to be her last foal anyway, but she was doing well up until she went into early labor. Luckily she is okay and will enjoy the rest of her days getting fat. The colt was by One Lucky Soul and we're sad that her last foaling is not as happy as we would have hoped.

Back to happy bouncy foals! There are quite a few, and it brings us up to an even split of 11 foals per sex!

Vandaveer [/color]]=http://www.finalfurlong.org/viewhorse.php?horse=28056Vandaveer , all legs this one, joined us on February 4 thanks to a healthy deliver by Scarlet O'Hara (Distinct Possibility). She looks almost exactly like sire Galaxy's Zodiac. She's already dappling out too!

Belle Brigade joined us on February 6th. She is quite a pretty dark bay with bits of white here and there, looking quite a bit like mom GCH. Minister's Daughter (Deputy Minister). She's by Stressed and we are excited to see where she goes!

February 6th was a busy day for us! Tulip Poplar [Demand the Best x Steel Magnolia by Twin Oaks] joined the growing herd. She should be a fire cracker later in life.

Jet black except for her stripe, ShriekingOfSirens made her midnight debut on February 8th. She's by Changeling and out of Event Horizon (Irish River). I look forward to her future.

February 13th brought Bandito, a colt by Latino Mix and out of Exit Stage Left. Both Bandito  may be for sale this fall, but Exit Stage Left is currently available for sale

March's first foal, Fistfull of Swoon, is a fiery red filly by Dark Demand and out of Poise (Distinct Possibility).

Perhaps our most boisterous foal, King of the World, came to us on March 22nd. He's bred to be a powerhouse, as he's by Long Live the King and out of Count the Stars (Count Fleet), so let's hope he lives up to it.

Parlor Hawk made his way into the world via mom Cahill Understood (Seattle Slew) on March 24. He is by Take Me Away.

On April 6th, Simply Lucky brought Empire, a healthy colt by Lucky Streak, into the world. He's already a feisty one.

26 Foals
5 Due - Our next isn't due until May.

Down to the wire! Only a few more due!

Daring Notion joined us on April 16. She is by Daredevil Dan and out of Red Sand (Red Wind).

Rue du Coeur joined us April 20th. She is all grey with no markings and quite cute. She is by Ace of Hearts and out of Fleet Launch (Fleet Street).

Our two June babies have both been born now! '

May 8th brought us You'reAWizard'arry! He's by Silver Wizard and out of Collinsville Times.

Our newly silver rated Dardanelle foaled a healthy filly Belle Chance by Lucky Streak. Her big sister Alodia has won both of her races this year and looks to have a promising future.

Our last foal has been born and he was a solid 2-3 weeks early! He looks good though, so we think he'll pull on through.

Lucky Sailor is by In the Navy and out of our wonderful mare Here's to Luck (Lucky Cigar). She's being bred to Worthy Victor for her next foal. She's 14 this year so these are some of her last foals.

We'll have a smaller crop next year due to some budget constraints, but we're looking forward to watching these babies grow and a great season next year! Good luck to anyone else that is still foaling!

Since we bought an in foal mare at the auction, we had a July delivery!

The lovely dark grey Cartier was born this morning to Shining Diamond, our recent purchase. He is by Magic Glory and rounds out our foal count to an even 14 foals of each sex! Not every year that that happens!
