Unless anything changes between now and January, it looks like all of FF's current famous studs will stand again (in real life) in 2015.

Currently we have 11:
Animal Kingdom
Deep Impact
Frankel
Ghostzapper
Giant's Causeway
Invasor
Monarchos
Point Given
Rock of Gibraltar
Sea the Stars
Sun King

FYI, Sun King only got 5 outside mares this year.

Similar to last year, I'm going to setup a poll in the next few weeks for the list of studs we want to use next year. I'd like to stay around 10 famous studs, so if we add any new ones, someone would have to retire.

Feel free to plug any stallions that you want to be considered for adding to the game. Requirements:
- Must be aged 12 or younger - 2003 as the oldest year of birth (we'd like to keep them around for some time)
- Must be a "standout" candidate for some reason - multiple Gr 1 wins, unique bloodlines, etc (must be a stakes winner of some sort in real life)
- Must not duplicate existing game bloodlines too much (e.g. no sons of famous studs already in the game, etc)

Please list more than just their name - give their pedigree, race highlights, etc. Why should they be in the game?

I can't find anything interesting... but I hope that Cavalryman will retire to stud eventually :) he's a total outcross with great racing career and he's so stunning! There is a lot of photos of him on Godolphin website:

Throwing this guy in for consideration, based on relatively unique bloodlines (plus I saw him win the BC Sprint in 2010 in person and became a fan).  He won over 6-8.5 furlongs.

Affirmed Stakes, 7 furlongs
Dr. Fager Stakes, 6 furlongs
In Reality Stakes, 8.5 furlongs

At 3, won:
Red Legend Stakes, 7 furlongs

2nd:
Swale Stakes (set a track record, but disqualified from 1st), 7 furlongs, Grade 2
West Virginia Derby, 9 furlongs, Grade 2

At 4, won:
Breeder's Cup Sprint, 6 furlongs, Grade 1
Smile Sprint Handicap, 6 furlongs, Grade 2
Ponche Handicap, 6 furlongs

John Gant, both those studs look nice, but they're borderline on pedigree. One's a grandson of Sunday Silence (we had him in the game, and we have Deep Impact now). The other's a grandson of Sadler's Wells (had him, plus his grandson Frankel).

He will be at stud as 'Dundeel' rather than It's A Dundeel

see this link

Either way, I'm ruling him out based on bloodlines. ;) (Likewise with Orfevre - sorry!)

I noticed that both their grandsires were in the game, but i thought since their sires were not it would be ok. From the short time I spent looking for suggestions every horse(that I saw atleast) worth being included in the game has either their sire, damsire or grandsire already in the game.

I think that restriction will keep out "famous" stallions and only open the door for stallions with unique pedigrees but inferior racing records.

If we didn't currently have sons/grandsons of theirs in the game, it'd be ok. (Perhaps people would like to do a swap? Deep Impact for Orfevre; Frankel for Dundeel?)

Given that people tend to use in-game studs more than famous ones, I'm not too keen to replicate bloodlines. :)

I now have 4 weanlings by Deep Impact and 4 by Frankel, 2 by Ghostzapper, 1 by Monarchos and 1 by Point Given. My broodmares are currently in foal to 6 real life studs (each used only once), and next year I'm only planning to breed some to Frankel and Ghostzapper.

Maybe I found a nice new one:

Lethal Force - 5yo grey stallion by Dark Angel, out of Land Army (Desert Style).
He was named "bargain of the year" ;) :

For a sprinter possibly Starspangledbanner

2006 Chestnut by Choisir out of Gold Anthem. Does have Northern Dancer in the 5th generation.

Stud page

Won Caulfield Guineas G1, Oakleigh Plate G1,
Golden Jubilee G1 and July Cup G1. Grade 1 winner in both hemispheres.

He was at Coolmore in Ireland but had some fertility problems and had a very small first crop then returned to training. He then went back to stud in Australia but will return to Coolmore next year due to the success of his first 2yos this year (covering a limited book of mares). Best runners to date include The Wow Signal (unbeaten in 3 starts including a grade 1 and a grade 2) and Anthem Alexander (grade 2 winning filly). He has 50% winners to runners (14 foals to race), two graded winners from 5 starters.

I do like Lethal Force too.

I found two more!

Dunaden - 8yo bay stallion by Nicobar (a rare Byerley Turk sireline), out of La Marlia (Kaldouneeves)

"Everything about Dunaden suggests he can become a successful sire - he is an extremely attractive individual, both in looks and temperament, he is a triple Group 1 winner, rated 130 by Timeform, and he won more than

He sounds familiar, I think he's been in previous polls. :)

Any more? Would like to set up polls in a few weeks so that in January we know what the roster will be.

I don't know, thought that he might be attractive as he's relatively young and already has some very successful racing offspring.
There is one more that deserves to be mentioned I think, although he's probably not going to be considered as a grandson of Holy Bull (or maybe?). He's definitely famous and has a nice story.

Mucho Macho Man - 6yo bay stallion by Macho Uno, out of Ponche de Leona (Ponche)

At 2:

Would Bernardini work? (even though he's a son of AP Indy and grandson Seattle Slew, who are both in the game)
At 3:
Won Jockey Gold Cup (G1)
Won Travers (G1)
Won Preakness (G1)
Won Jim Dandy (G2)
Won Withers (G3)
2nd Breeders Cup Classic (G1)

As a stud he's sired G1 winners; Stay Thirsty, Alpha, To Honor and Serve, Boban, Ruud Awakening, Biondetti, Go Indy Go, Angela Renee, and AZ Warrior; as well as many other stakes winners and placers.

Also Curlin is a favorite of mine, so of course I have to suggest him, even though his father and grandfather are in the game. :)
At 3:
Won Preakness (G1)
Won Breeders Cup Classic (G1)
Won Jockey Club Gold Cup (G1)
Won Arkansas Derby (G1)
Won Arkansas Derby (G1)

At 4:
Won Dubai World Cup (G1)
Won Jockey Club Gold Cup (G1)
Won Woodward Stakes (G1)
Won Stephen Foster Handicup (G1)

The only other one I could think of was Dubawi by Dubai Millennium (born in 2002 though).

http://www.pedigreequery.com/dubawi

He's doing really well as a sire:
http://bloodstock.racingpost.com/stallionbook/stallion.sd?horse_id=589690&popup=1&tab=stud

He won the Irish 2000 Guineas, Jacques Le Marois and National Stakes.

Has some Mr Prospector and Northern Dancer blood further back but possibly a nice edition if you can excuse him being a year "too old". He's from his sire's only crop - Dubai Millennium died of Grass Sickness after his first year at stud but was a multiple grade 1 winner himself including the Dubai World Cup.
