Decided to keep my horses to lower level races today, and it seems like the back to basics worked quite well for most of them.

Bungled Conquest (5yo, Slip In The Mud) in a NW2 Allowance - Breaking her maiden, yay!

Solara (5yo, Galaxy's Zodiac) in a NW2 Allowance

Passchendaele (4yo, Almost Precious) in a NW3 Allowance

Gambling Rain (3yo, Harvard Bound) in a claiming race - Excited to claim this guy for only 5k when his dam is Gold ranked. Hopefully he lives up to some of his 1/2 siblings success ;)

Also Rans:
Agnostic (4yo, Gotta Go) 7th in a NW3 Allowance

My own 3yos, I can't seem to figure out, but at least my lease came through :P

Red Harted Queen (3yo, Ace of Hearts) in an Allowance - Lease from RC Bee. I own her 1/2 sister who's currently making the switch to fences, and am happy to see this filly starting off her stay with us well!

Odd Light (4yo, Latino Mix) in a NW2 Allowance - Still hasn't won over fences yet, but since making the switch she's always been in the top 3 so I'm still quite pleased with this mare.

Argus Array (6yo, High On Love) in a Starter Allowance

Also Rans:
Desert Sand (3yo, Dixie Time) 9th in a NW1 Allowance
Bohemia (3yo, Created) 8th in a NW2 Allowance
Effigy (3yo, Highland Burning) 6th in a NW2 Allowance
Ch. I'm Yours (5yo, I'm Your Angel) 13th in an Allowance - Retired to broodmare duty and off to visit Dark Continent now.

Decent enough day, ponies mostly made back their entry fees. Lots of my older horses seemed a bit tired so they'll be resting through February.

Dobies Bight (3yo, Doodles) in a NW3 Allowance - Her first win over fences, I'm interested to see how she keeps maturing.

Lamenda Prime (4yo, Belanso) in a NW3 Allowance

Centaurian (4yo, Galaxy's Zodiac) in a NW2 Allowance
Tottenham Time (4yo, Tottenham Hotspur) in an Allowance - I was wondering if her last placing was just a fluke because it was in a smaller field, but today's race was fairly competitive and she held her own so here's to hoping for more good races this year.

Antares (5yo, Formal Occasion) in the Correction Stakes (Ungr.)

Also Rans:
Loose Canon (3yo, Sunday Paper) 6th in a NW3 Allowance - I don't think this girl has fully matured yet, so she'll probably be resting and training for a while before heading out to race again.
Mario (6yo, Silver Charm) 10th in an Allowance
Decadent (5yo, Witness) 11th in an Allowance
Home Invasion (6yo, Cool Thief) 10th in an Allowance
Southern Warrior (5yo, Black Warrior) 12th in an Allowance
One Fast Belle (3yo, One Lucky Soul) 7th in a maiden - Maybe one day she'll live up to her name and come in the money, hopefully she's just a late bloomer.
Sir Percivale (6yo, Crystal Rainbow) 6th in the Shannon Stakes (Gr. 2)

Another filly was born today, and almost a week earlier than expected.

NCh. AndLikeThatHesGone x La Revedere - Blue Ensign (B)
Bred by Denoux Stud
9.3h black filly

Decided to pull this girl's name from the same monologue in The Usual Suspects where Verbal says "And like that he's gone." This is the first foal for La Revedere, and she'll be visiting Quintet next.

Finally finishing off January, and thankfully on a high note with our first stakes win!

Patrick (5yo, Yes It's Paddy) in a Starter Allowance
Ch. At Last Light (5yo, Lasting Spirit) in the Santa Monica Handicap (Gr. 1) - Super excited to have purchased this guy from the Coleman Branch auction because, fun fact, I played FF another time for a bit back in high school and he's one of the foals I bred. I don't think I was ever super active though so when college came around I lost track of FF, but now that I'm done with school I'm so happy to be back :) I'm really looking forward to how this guy will run going forward!

Odd Light (4yo, Latino Mix) in a Starter Allowance

Coastal Cake (3yo, French Ruby) in a NW2 Allowance
Difficult News (4yo, Aptitude) in a NW3 Allowance

Also Rans:
Kicked to the Curb (4yo, Gotta Go) 11th in an Allowance
Swish (3yo, Drum Major) 7th in a NW3 Allowance

To be honest, not as bad as I expected so there's that.

Innovation (6yo, Crystal Rainbow) in a maiden - I thought she was going to finish just ahead of Queen's Command and be left in the dust by the younger horses, but maybe this means there's still hope for her to get in some decent races before retirement?

Ready Player One (4yo, Player) in a NW1 Allowance - Still always in the money, but never a winner

Queen's Command (6yo, Foolhardy) in a maiden - This mare is a lease, and she seems pretty done with running. At this point, I think at this point the goal is to get her through her 10 starts and then send her home to her owner to be a broodmare
Silver Sparkler (4yo, Formal Occasion) in a NW3 Allowance

Also Rans:
Secret Chord (3yo, Hidden Destiny) 10th in an Allowance - He had a decent 2yo year and now can't find his feet anymore. Hopefully as the year goes on he'll be better.
Infatuation (3yo, Demand the Best) 8th in a maiden - Another 3yo that I'm hoping is maybe a late bloomer?

Subpar January continues.

Tottenham Time (4yo, Tottenham Hotspur) in a NW3 Allowance

Wish Come True (4yo, As You Wish) in a NW2 Allowance
Whisky Rebel (5yo, Latino Mix) in the Santa Ynez Stakes (Gr. 2)

Separate Garden (3yo, Blue Ensign) in a claiming race - Happy to claim this girl from FF at least, her dam had quite a few SWs and a MSW by Romeo so here's to hoping she's got some success ahead of her.
Express Red (6yo, Express Yourself) in a NW2 Allowance

Also Rans:
Pride And Glory (3yo, Tottenham Hotspur) 11th in a NW1 Allowance
Ch. I'm Yours (5yo, I'm Your Angel) 8th in an Allowance
Bridge the Gap (6yo, Unabridged) 9th in an Allowance
Typeface (5yo, Mr. Townsend) 10th in the Fred Cappy Capossela Stakes (Ungr.)

January results continue to be middling, there were 10 actually sent out today. I did manage to claim Affecting, though, which is nice. She's now retired to broodmare duties.

Centaurian (4yo, Galaxy's Zodiac) in a NW1 Allowance - Finally broke his maiden
Difficult News (4yo, Aptitude) in a maiden - Also finally breaking her maiden

Odd Light (4yo, Latino Mix) in a NW2 Allowance - Switching her to over fences seemed to perk this girl up again

I’ve booked a slot for your stable as she doesn’t show in your mare list because she’s leased. Let me know if you have any problems.
Looks like everything's all set, she's on her way over now. Thanks :)

Could I get one of Superdocius's Feb 1 slots for a leased mare I have? Thank you :)

I sent a total of 7 out today, but most of them ended up 6th or 8th in crowded races. Luckily we had a couple wins.

Silver Sparkler (4yo, Formal Occasion) in a NW1 Allowance - I bought this girl recently because I've really been loving my other Formal Occasion mare. Hoping she keeps on winning for us :)
Desert Sand (3yo, Dixie Time) in a claiming race - I'm excited to have claimed this guy. He's a half sibling to a few MSWs and I didn't have any horses by Dixie Time yet, so I'm looking forward to seeing how he does.

Finally getting that win percentage up a little!

Coastal Cake (3yo, French Ruby) in a NW1 Allowance - Very happy to see this boy is finally interested in running after putting him over fences, I was starting to worry that he just wanted to be a pasture puff.
Decadent (5yo, Witness) in an Allowance - A nice surprise, I just purchased her recently and was expecting her to probably be mid pack and her stalemate, Agnostic, to be in the money. I think he was in his holiday vacation mode though ;)

Typeface (5yo, Mr. Townsend) in an Allowance

Also Rans:
Vortex (5yo, Void) 6th in a NW3 Allowance - Her first outing over fences against more seasoned horses, I'm hoping with a bit more training she'll do well.
Agnostic (4yo, Gotta Go) 12th in an Allowance
Algiers (5yo, Dark Continent) 11th in an Allowance
Hypnotic Channel (3yo, Prince Of Wonder) 14th in a NW2 Allowance
Secret Chord (3yo, Hidden Destiny) 12th in a NW2 Allowance
