Foaling Barn / Re: Stillwater 2022 Foals

Oh that I've known. I had a February mare already drop two weeks ago, and last year I had a mare 5 weeks late. Just didn't know about the colts vs. fillies.

Nice filly! :) (FYI maiden mares have a greater chance of foaling early or late because hey, they don't know what's going on, lol.)

Did not know! Explains a few things, for sure...minus my latest late baby. Who is also a filly, haha.

To clarify: by "due date" above I meant the actual foaling date. The "due date" on the mare's page is literally a random number between (I think) 335 and 355 day gestation, so it can have no bearing on reality with the mare. Plus mares can foal up to 3 weeks early and 3 weeks late (based on usual gestation time). Because mares, haha.

PINK CHAMPAGNE, 9.1h black filly
NCh. Too Stressful x Ellenai - ICh. What's Your Point
I was a little nervous when Ellenai ran late (12 days total), being a maiden mare, but all was fine! Ellenai is half to SW Grandiose Castle and SP's Ch. Saramenha and Rocinante. She will visit Blue Smoke for 2023.

9 Colts | 9 Fillies | 0 Stillborn -- 70 due (at least they're keeping even!)

On average, yes. No idea how it exactly works IRL but in-game the due date is skewed earlier for fillies and later for colts. (Given horses and their unpredictability, that's probably close to real life, actually. ;))

Do colts tend to incubate more?
