Super happy!

Ch. Crème Brûlée (3yo, Candidate) in the Up and Coming Stakes (Gr. 2) - this boy is the highlight of our 2019 crop. He was leased by Starfish Stables as a 2yo, and this is his first start for us. Also his third race in Australia, both previous races being wins (including a Grade 1!) so I decided to let him run without a whip. I'd love to have him studified but I also promise that he'll run at least 50 races before he retires to stud :P

Also Rans:
Xplicit Glam (3yo, Created) 10th in a NW2 Allowance - this lovely chestnut girl is retired now and she'll be retrained as a hack horse ;)
Water Temple (3yo, Bellagio) 7th in a NW1 Allowance
Comme des Garçons (3yo, I'm No Fool) 6th in a claiming race - super exciting to have this FFCh. I'm No Fool colt, out of a gold ranked dam. Not so excited about his dead last finish, but we'll get there...

I didn't get anyone entered but we did make a successful claim:

Tom Ford (3yo, I'm No Fool) in a claiming race
He's out of WCh. Easy Decision, by Affirmed out of an Easy Street mare. I like all the potential plus the less-common mare line. I know studhood is a long shot for any colt, but I try to factor that in when looking for colts to add to our string.

Pretty awesome day with 22 of 32 hitting the board. Star of Wonder will be another kid-gloves project, being just 1 SW shy of being stud qualified. At 8 years of age though this will be a challenge. Some of my older mare aren't quite done, it seems.

Golden Egg (3yo, All Jazzed Up) in a maiden.
Mrs. Rodriguez (4yo, Joyeux Oiseau) in a NW2 Allowance.
Ch. Black Fire Cross (6yo, Ring of Fire) in an Allowance. Was knocked out of the BC with an injury, so I'm happy to see him come back.

Ch. Get the Axe (5yo, Empire Maker) in an Allowance.
Successfully claimed Yves Saint Laurent (3yo, I'm No Fool) in a claiming race. Very excited for this one; I own his half-brother and tried to obtain his half-sister in the Youngstock Auction last year but the bidding got too rich for me. Sent home to rest.

Decent enough day, much better than this past Wednesday at least.

Bridge the Gap (6yo, Unabridged) in an Allowance - I honestly didn't think she was going to win going into this race, but I'm glad to see this older girl has still got it. She'll keep running as long as she's interested for now.

Wish Come True (4yo, As You Wish) in a NW3 Allowance - Glad to see this guy do well in a fairly competitive field, he seems like he's going to be a pretty steady earner.

Dobies Bight (3yo, Doodles) in a NW2 Allowance - For her first outing over fences this wasn't bad. For her next race I'll see if she likes a longer distance any better since I know her sire favored distances over 10f.

Ready Player One (4yo, Player) in a maiden - I just picked up this guy recently, and while he's placed well throughout his career he still hasn't won yet. Hopefully he will soon though :)

National Account (7yo, National Post) in an Allowance
Ching Shih (4yo, In The Navy) in a NW2 Allowance

Also Rans:
Innovation (6yo, Crystal Rainbow) 7th in a NW2 Allowance
Pride And Glory (3yo, Tottenham Hotspur) 6th in a NW3 Allowance
Might And Grace (6yo, Highland Bandit) 8th in a NW3 Allowance
Passchendaele (4yo, Almost Precious) 6th in a NW3 Allowance

Literally the only improvement over Wednesday is the one win today.  Not how I wanted to start the year, going from a 30% win percentage to 4%.

New York Express (6yo, Express Yourself) in an Allowance

Twelve Bar Blues (3yo, AndLikeThatHesGone) in a NW2 Allowance
That's A Wrap (3yo, TakeMeToHollywood) in a NW3 Allowance
Ch. Moment of Truth (6yo, Formal Occasion) in an Allowance

Ch. Sultana (6yo, Gilded Saint) in an Allowance
Ch. Last Letter Home (3yo, Long Live The King) in an Allowance
Ch. Legendary (5yo, Black Warrior) in the Pro Or Con Handicap (Ungr.)

Tense Imagination (3yo, Crystal Rainbow) in a NW2 Allowance

Munin (3yo, Joyeux Oiseau) in a NW3 Allowance
TilTheEndOfTheLine (3yo, Created) in a NW3 Allowance

Also Rans:
Royal Edict (3yo, Demand the Best) 13th in a NW1 Allowance
Ch. Dark Crystal (7yo, Crystal Rainbow) 8th in an Allowance
Ch. Fólkvangr (5yo, Mr. Prospective) 7th in an Allowance
Xanino (4yo, Changeling) 6th in the San Pasqual Handicap (Gr. 2)

ETA: Munin and Royal Edict are up for (cheap) sale.

17(3)-0-4(1)-0-5(1) $75,750

Definitely nothing worth wasting the ink on. I'm only doing a little better than RebelRun (7% Wins) this early in the season, but not much. Good thing is this can only get better (hopefully).
