We reacently purchased two GDR mares, including What Is Love, to join the broodmare band. Interestingly, given his race record they both were turf runners. Looking forwards to some nice grand-foals from both of them.

I just purchased a GDR 2yo daughter last month, and own a broodmare daughter carrying her first foal. I'm especially hopeful with her as a broodmare as she's half to 3 MSW's and from the same damline as Nightfight and Gotta Go.

As much as I love GDR as a stallion, his foals tend to disagree with me.

I had a lot of fun writing this because I didn't realize how impressive his record was! 1 win away from the Triple Crown and 2x Breeders' Cup Classic winner!!

Like Shelbie, I seem to have rotten luck with his offspring, they all tend to not like running for me at all. I did just purchase a yearling from Shelbie's auction so who knows maybe I'll have better luck after giving him a nice write-up LOL

Definitely need to send some more girls his way.  We sold Stage Romance as a baby, back when mistakenly thinking a bronze ranking meant a less than stellar offspring.

Just a curiosity, is there anything else y'all would like to see us include? Something you don't like? Would love any feedback :D

As a new-ish player I'm really loving doing these because while I know what studs are out there, I wasn't around for their careers so lots of times i have no idea what many of them did or what they specialized in, so its really been helping me pick better crosses!

Last year I had the honor of leasing GDR and bred some of our best mares to him. This year I was privileged to buy him and continue his legacy at Desert Wind Farm. I love this guy!

I own one son by Gunningdownromance, a 4YO named Flames Of Love. He started racing as a 3YO and won/placed/showed one time each out of 4 starts. He's only been run once so far this year due to an injury and landed a 5th in that one. He seems to run well so far, and though I'm not sure yet what his preferences are, he seems to show an affinity for turf, so it'll be interesting to see what he can do from here.
