Lasting Spirit Retired
« on: March 06, 2018, 05:37:37 am »
Sadly Lasting Spirit has suffered an injury whilst out in the paddock. Whilst the long-term prognosis is good, we have been advised to retire him from stud duty. Apologies to anyone who has outstanding bookings to him for this year.

Sorry to hear about his retirement but hope he will soon recover from his injury.

One of his sons, Last For More, is standing at ourFarm and will hopefully carry on his legacy.

I'm so sorry to hear this, he was one of my favorites.

Currently leasing a Lasting Spirit son who needs just one G1 placing to qualify for stud; fingers crossed, it has been a bumpy road haha (he's 8 ). I also own a 3yo colt who won the Gr. 3 Historic Stakes this year, 2 yearlings, 1 weanling, and one mare in foal to him due next year.

Thank you both. He’ll be well looked after and hopefully should make a good recovery. We’ve got a few more mares  to foal this year and already have some nice yearlings and weanlings already, fingers crossed some of them have some talent!

Sad to see him retire, but he has so many wonderfully successful foals that I'm sure his legacy will be represented well. I have one of his SW & MSPs sons who's still running, and two mares in foal to him for next year so hopefully they all do him justice :)
